Mass Lead Creator
Bulk-creates deals for calling from selected contacts: distributes them across managers and schedules tasks within working hours.
What It Does
Mass Lead Creator lets you bulk-create leads for calling directly from your contact list in Kommo. Select contacts, click one button — leads are created, distributed among managers, and call tasks are scheduled throughout the working day.
How It Works
- Go to the Contacts section in Kommo (List view).
- Select the contacts you want to call — check individual ones or select all.
- Click "Create leads" in the mass actions bar at the top.
- Review settings in the confirmation popup and click "Create leads".
- Leads are created instantly, distributed evenly among selected managers, and tasks are scheduled at equal intervals during working hours.
When to Use It
Mass Lead Creator was built for the workflow that breaks Kommo's standard "deal-per-contact" flow at scale. Four scenarios where it pays for itself within a week:
- Outbound calling campaigns — you have 500 contacts from a trade-show CSV upload, and you need them as call-ready leads distributed across 4 SDRs by Monday morning. Manual creation is 500 clicks. Mass Lead Creator is one click + a 30-second confirmation.
- Base reactivation — your contact list has 2,000 leads who went cold 6+ months ago. You want to call 100/day for 20 days, spread across your team. Set tasks per day = 25, select 4 managers, click. Daily call lists auto-build for 5 weeks.
- Cold outreach — a fresh list scraped or purchased from a B2B database. Tag the leads at creation ("cold-q2-2026"), so your callers can filter, and your reports can isolate this cohort's conversion rate from your inbound flow.
- Event follow-up — 80 conference badges scanned into Kommo as contacts. Within 24 hours they should be calls assigned to 2 reps. Speed matters here — Mass Lead Creator turns a 30-minute manual workflow into 2 minutes.
Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Pipeline | Where new leads will be created |
| Responsible users | Leads will be distributed evenly among selected users |

| Lead tag | Tag added to each created lead (e.g. "calling") |
| Task text | Text of the call task (phone number is added automatically) |
Distribution Logic — what happens behind the scenes
The two things that quietly make or break a bulk-lead workflow are fair distribution and realistic scheduling. Mass Lead Creator handles both:
- Round-robin across selected managers. If you create 100 leads and select 4 responsible users, each manager gets exactly 25. The order matches your manager-selection order, so you control who picks up the first batch and who the last.
- Tasks spread evenly across working hours. If your working day is 9:00–18:00 (9 hours) and you create 30 tasks per manager, the widget schedules a task every 18 minutes. No bunching at 9:00, no 30-task wall at the end of the day.
- Spill-over to next working days. If you bulk-create 100 leads but the per-day cap per manager is 25 and you have 2 managers, that's 50 tasks today + 50 tasks tomorrow. Same time-spread logic per day.
- Working-hours respect. Tasks land only inside Kommo's account-level working-hours setting. Weekends and holidays are skipped. The first Monday after a created-on-Friday batch picks up where Friday left off.
Common Mistakes That Waste the Calls
Five patterns we see destroy the ROI of a well-built call list. Cheap to avoid; expensive to recover from.
- Selecting contacts before checking which already have an open lead. Mass Lead Creator does not deduplicate against existing leads by design — that's a Kommo-side concern. Filter your contact view to "no active deal" before selecting, or you'll create call tasks on already-active opportunities.
- Setting tasks-per-day higher than the team can actually call. If each call averages 5 minutes including notes and a manager's working day is 6 productive hours, the realistic ceiling is ~70 calls/day. Setting 150 just creates a missed-task backlog.
- No tag at creation. Without a tag, you cannot isolate this cohort's conversion in 30 days. Add a tag like "reactivation-jun-2026" at create-time — costs nothing, makes reports possible.
- Wrong pipeline. Bulk-created leads land in the pipeline you selected, not in your usual inbound pipeline. If your reports filter by "Inbound — New," your bulk leads vanish from those reports. Pick a dedicated "Outbound — Calling" pipeline.
- Skipping the call-task text. The default task text is just a phone number. Reps appreciate context: "Call back — June reactivation list, last interaction was webinar Q1." Set this once in settings and it applies to every batch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it work with the Kommo mobile app?
The bulk-create action runs from the desktop Kommo workspace (Contacts list view). Once leads are created, the resulting call tasks appear on the mobile app for the responsible manager as usual — including the scheduled times.
What happens if a manager is on vacation when their tasks are scheduled?
Tasks remain assigned. Best practice: deselect anyone on vacation before running the bulk-create. If you discover it after the fact, use Kommo's bulk-reassign feature to move tasks to an active manager.
Can I bulk-create leads from a custom contact filter, not just a manual selection?
Yes. Apply any filter in the Contacts list (segment, tag, source), then "Select all filtered" — the widget operates on whatever your current filter yields. This is the trick that makes base-reactivation campaigns one-click.
Does the free plan really cover small teams?
250 contacts/day is enough for most 1–3-person outbound teams running ~80 calls/day each. The Unlimited plan exists for high-volume campaigns (300+ calls/day across the team) and intensive base-reactivation pushes.
What if I need to undo a bulk-create — can leads be deleted in bulk?
Yes, through Kommo's native bulk actions on the Leads list (filter by your tag, select all, delete). Mass Lead Creator does not have an undo button — the assumption is "create leads = commit." Tag every batch so undo-by-filter stays a one-minute operation.
How does this differ from Kommo's built-in mass actions?
Kommo's native bulk actions cover contact-level operations (bulk tag, bulk delete, bulk reassign). They don't include "create a lead per contact + distribute + schedule call tasks." That gap is exactly what Mass Lead Creator fills.
